Tye Whitely has a passion for educating children of all ages. Through her writings, speaking engagements, and research, she continues to help strengthen ways in which students can access information and increase knowledge. Tye has also written for television, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies. She is a product of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, the wife of a Savannah State University alumnus & Army veteran, and the mother of 3 children currently enrolled in Savannah public schools.
Tye is also a graduate of Morris Brown College with a B.A. in Communications, a 2000 initiate of Tau Beta Sigma Sorority, Inc., and a 2002 initiate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.. She is currently the owner of Chunk's Learning Center in Savannah, and continues to enrich the lives of Savannah's youth through her work with Hofstra University's Wise Guys & Girls, a program that promotes STEM initiatives among families.
